The Roman House is one of the oldest structures in Bakar, with the characteristic renaissance architecture, and its lavish porch and arches. It is situated in the immediate vicinity of the Citadel and St. Andrija’s Parish Church and is the most distinguishable structure in the upper town. Its extraordinary and grandiose appearance and its renaissance style characteristics, reveal that its founders possessed a high level of culture, as well as the town in which it was founded-Bakar.
