To preserve the rich history and traditions of Bakar, Margaret’s Fair takes place every year. The event is created similarly to the old Margaret’s Fair which has a very long tradition and was one of the largest in the region, lasting for three days, from July 12 to July 14. It is a fair of original food, beverages, culinary delights and original souvenirs where old customs are presented. The Fair has been held for years as part of Margaret’s Summer to celebrate the Day of Bakar. Numerous associations and tradesmen from the City of Bakar, Primorje-Gorski kotar County and all over Croatia take part at the event.
